“This novel had all the essential elements of the original Pride and Prejudice story, but at each turn, it was creatively manipulated on a new path that Dixon creates. With each plot development it was interesting to see how different characters said familiar lines. Instead of a common What-If? that inserts some change and then continues forward in an alternate universe often times changing completely, this one was uniquely similar. It was very creatively done and I enjoyed it greatly. ”

“I enjoyed the fast pace of this series’ multiple plots. P. O. Dixon’s writing is clear and concise, communicating with ease her characters’ actions and intentions. I thought the way she incorporated several lines from Shakespeare, along with Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” was well done.
There’s also a good amount of suspense and angst in this series, which I tend to embrace when I read JAFF books.”

“Dixon has created a new variation of a classic favorite that is just as romantic and engaging as the original. In all, I foresee Dixon becoming more and more popular as people begin to discover her creative literary voice. I urge you to begin discovering her works on your own as they will be a delight to read.”

“I found To Have His Cake (and Eat it Too) to be an imaginative, emotional, and exhilarating variation of Pride and Prejudice.”

“P .O. Dixon’s Bewitched, Body and Soul: Miss Elizabeth Bennet, an adaptation of the work of Jane Austen, is a fascinating retelling of a classic that millions of readers have enjoyed. I found some of the tweaks and changes intriguing. P.O. Dixon maintained much of the writing style but still left signature touches that give it a slightly different flavor.”

“I really liked Lady Harriette! She is feisty, to the point, selfish…and she seems like the perfect match for Colonel Fitzwilliam in the same way Lizzy is the perfect match for Darcy.”
– So Little Time, Review of Lady Harriette: Fitzwilliam’s Heart and Soul
“This book is a quick read and one you will not want to miss. It is well written and entertaining. P. O. Dixon has done it again.”

“Pride & Sensuality is a quick read, perfect for a quiet, lazy morning. It’s just a glimpse of Darcy and Elizabeth, ending with their wedding night, but it is sweet (in more ways than one) and leaves plenty to the imagination. Another fun story from P.O. Dixon!”
– Diary of an Eccentric
“The writing in the story was very good. While the story was very fast moving, it flowed well and the language was very appropriate to the time, very much in the style of Jane Austen. This was a fun, quick, easy read, not without its angst, but also with touches of humour and romance. ”

“Lady Elizabeth” by PO Dixon is one of the best Pride and Prejudice retellings I have ever read! I read this book in about a day, I just could not put it down. I immediately went to Amazon to purchase book 2. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

“Swoon over the timeless romance of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet in this Pride and Prejudice retelling. Fitzwilliam may be promised to Jane, but when he meets her younger sister Elizabeth, it’s love at first sight.”

“Such as any book of Ms P O Dixon, this is such a lovely mix of the original and its variation. There were new characters added, who did not distract away from our couple’s love story. Loved the way the story had unfolded, how true to its title the story is. This is a must read for all (esp avid fans of Pride and Prejudice)”

“I loved this book, I love that it was different from the original and loved that Darcy and Elizabeth actually got to know each other and connected.”

It was wonderful to read a “behind the scenes” version of one of my all time favorite books.
As far as I am concerned, Fitzwilliam Darcy is one of the most romantic, yet clueless, characters in literary history.
I highly recommend this adaptation. Excellent read!!
