Hoppy Easter Eggstravaganza Giveaway Hop ☼ April 17th - April 24th
As a Regency romance author who writes Pride and Prejudice adaptations, my first inclination while researching topics for this blog post was to integrate my love of Jane Austen’s work and the history of some of the most widely celebrated Easter traditions.
I came across a blog post titled Jane Austen’s Easter, which discusses both topics at length. One of the things that resonated with me was the mention of the Easter Holidays as a time of traveling and visiting family.
Ah, that explains my longing to travel during the Easter Season. I especially love visiting my favorite city, Charleston, South Carolina, at Easter. Alas, this year’s harsh winter season wreaked havoc on my family’s spring break travel plans obliging us to stay close to home. My consolation is there’s always next Easter.

ReplyDeleteWhile growing up we, my parents and I, would go to church in the morning and then go to my grandmother's house for BBQ and spending time with the family. Even though my grandmother is gone, we still get together and remember old times and make new memories. I will miss this year since, but I will be with them in spirit! Happy Easter!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Easter Tradition is the Easter Egg Hunt! The kiddos all get dressed up in their Easter Dresses and go A-Hunting! SO CUTE to watch the little ones so excited and determined to find those silly eggs :) The looks on their faces when they find them is priceless too. Love it!
