How did I get along without it?
The past weeks have found me as busy as ever completing the various drafts of my current work-in-progress in preparation for final edits. From time to time, I need a break. When I say break, I mean distraction. And have I ever found one. It’s Pinterest. I love it!
I manage to convince myself that the time spent on Pinterest is in no way a waste. In fact, the time I spend creating my own boards and exploring others is quite inspirational. By many accounts, Pinterest is not intended as a promotional tool, but as a writer, I am already realizing its advantages. Not so much in terms of promoting my work, but rather in terms of organizing the various images and tidbits that inspire my writing.
In addition, my Pinterest boards allow a means of sharing with others, insights into what motivates me. If that leads to increased interest in my writings, I shall consider it the icing on the cake.
I am finishing up my next release titled, Bewitched, Body and Soul. Stunning images of my perception of the heroine and hero of this tale are pinned on my board. See for yourself!
Love your Pinterest boards! Camelot/Rosings is one of my favs! Now to head over there & check out BB&S board! As a reader, I like it when authors create boards for their books. It makes the people & places seem that much more real and gives me a better mental image of how the author sees those things! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jakki. I am just getting started and I look forward to pinning more images for my books. I also love visiting other boards ... it's great stuff!
DeleteI swing between loving Pinterest to chastising myself for not being so crafty. Even so, I think it is a great idea to use it to show your inspirations off to your readers.
ReplyDeleteBring on BB & S - I just finished Camelot Darcy, so I think I've actually only have the sequel to Cake to read, then I'm all caught up!
Some of the boards are quite awe inspiring. The one that finally spurred me into action on Pinterest is the Titanic TV board.
DeleteI am looking forward to bringing BB&S as soon as can be, so I can jump into the next project.
I really hope you enjoyed Camelot Darcy and little Ben. Thanks, Angie!
